Places I love in Athens - Michalis Anousakis Plaka Hair Salon

Today's post is all about great hair. And I know how difficult is to find a great hairdresser and develope a relationship based on trust because believe me, bad hair can ruin almost every good impression made in the past. I instantly fell in love with the Michalis Anousakis new hair campaing. The late 60's - early 70's allure we saw also in Hedi Slimane's new collection is the basis for his new trademark cuts and highlights for this period in this gorgeous editorial styled by Nicholas Georgiou. Michalis has done the hair styling of course. One of the best make-up artists, my beloved Eva Dimoveli (who is also a great dj) has done the make-up. Photos are from Vasilis Topouslidis. But this does not mean that Michalis will not tell you what is best thing to do about your hair, cause is one of Athens greatest when it comes to hair style and cuts. But who is Michalis Anousakis?

His involvement with hair cosmetics was not merely a decision taken after careful consideration regarding alone his professional career and status. It was more an innate inclination, a road which from a very young age knew he wanted to follow and offer not only standard services but also a new proposal, an air of renewal. He begun his carrer in 1993. Having gained a respectable experience of several years and having worked with the aforementioned distinguished professionals, in 2003 he decides to answer a greater professional challenge by opening a new store that would bear his personal stamp and whose custody would purely be a personal matter, which is called "Michael Anousakis" at Admiral Nicodemus 29 street - Plaka area. Concurrently with his occupation, he has tried his strength in the fashion industry as well with collaborations such as Chris Veloudakis for FASHION WEEK, Nick Viliotis for the annual event of VOGUE (2009), Tasos Sophronius for the show FFG (Felous Fashion Group) (2010) etc. In these work experiences he would also like to include the presentation of 2011 collections in the studio WELLA ATHENS - THESSALONIKI / WIN-Father and the participation in the «TREND VISION 2012» in New York with the ditinguished selected partner Vangelis Margoutas. His professional journey has only just begun and Michalis remains open to any given professional challenge. Ποιο είναι το χειρότερο πράγμα που μπορεί να πάθει μια γυναίκα? Να παχύνει, θα πεις εσύ. Όχι, θα σου πω εγώ. Γιατί και να βάλει 2 κιλά αν το ράψει θα τα χάσει. Να μην την θέλει αυτός που ποθεί. Όχι θα ξαναπώ εγώ, γιατί μπορεί να εμφανιστεί κάτι άλλο στον ορίζοντα που να κόβει φλέβα για την κυρία. Να μην βρίσκει παπούτσια θα πεις εσύ κι εγώ θα πω έλεος, παπούτσια βρίσκεις παντού. Με το μαλλί όμως τι γίνεται? Αν πας και το κόψεις και μόλις δεις το αποτέλεσμα θέλεις 28 Tavor το λιγότερο για να συνέλθεις, τι κάνεις μετά? Γιατί το μαλλί θέλει χρόνο για να μεγαλώσει, δεν μαζεύεις τα κουρεμένα να τα κολλήσεις με UHU και η περούκα δεν είναι λύση. Λύση είναι η εύρεση καλού κομμωτή (καλού δεν εννοούμε πανακρίβου, αλλά ικανού) που δεν σε βλέπει σαν "ένα ακόμη κεφάλι να κουρέψω" αλλά σέβεται και την επιλογή σου να τον εμπιστευτείς, και τα χρήματα που θα του αφήσεις. Και όπως λένε οι ψυχολόγοι, αναπτύσσεις μια σχέση εμπιστοσύνης. Και ξέρω ότι ο Μιχάλης Ανουσάκης έχει αναπτύξει εδώ και χρόνια πολλές τέτοιες στο hair salon που διατηρεί από το 2003 σε μια από τις πιο όμορφες γειτονίες της Αθήνας, την Πλάκα, επί της Ναυάρχου Νικοδήμου. Ειδικά φέτος που έχει στην ομάδα του και μια από τις καλύτερες make-up artists, την Εύα Δημοβέλη, και βλέποντας το editorial που έχουν κάνει για την σεζόν που διανύουμε, μια επίσκεψη επιβάλλεται. Το late 60's - early 70's vibe είναι το φετινό trademark και στις φωτογραφίες βλέπεις ένα μαλλί τέλειο, χωρίς να είναι αυτό το αυστηρά κομμωτηριακό με τον ένα τόνο λακ, αλλά πιο χαλαρό, πιο down to earth, πιο κοντά στην everyday life όλων μας. Γιατί τελικά αυτό δεν έχει σημασία? Να δείχνουμε ωραία σε αυτή την καθημερινότητα? Να δίνουμε στον εαυτό μας την ευκαιρία για μια μικρή αλλαγή που όμως θα μας κάνει να νιώσουμε καλύτερα και όταν νιώσουμε καλύτερα εμείς, πιστέψτε με, οι άλλοι το καταλαβαίνουν.
