Sunday Streetstyle :New York Mixed Temperatures

New York is in the thick of layering season, meaning it’s no longer advisable to leave home without your turtleneck, scarf, and beanie, and yet tomorrow might have a high of 60. While for some, the arrival of cold weather is an all-too-welcome excuse to stay in and hibernate, for the heartier — and fashion-obsessed — it’s a chance to break out their coziest, chicest garments, frombathrobe coats to calf-length cardigans. Photographer Alexandra Gavillet shoots New Yorkers’ cold-weather style, which included a tapestrylike, floral velvet overcoat, a bright-red, vintage L.L. Bean windbreaker, and everything in between. Off-duty models paired track pants and Adidas sneakers with classic peacoats, while others opted for leather biker jacketswith Ray Bans and blanket scarves. Στη Νέα Υόρκη πιάσαν τα χοντρά κρύα. Αντί λοιπόν ο κόσμος να κάθεται σπιτάκι του, με μια κουβέρτα στον καναπέ και να βλέπει Hannibal στο TiVo, φοράει ότι θεωρεί καλύτερο και βγαίνει έξω να γλεντήσει, γιατί η φτώχια θέλει καλοπέραση. Τι φοράει τώρα η Νέα Υόρκη..? Τα πάντα. Και το μαύρο δοξάζει, και το χρώμα το γουστάρει, και oversized αποθεώνει αλλά και το δέρμα δεν το αποκλείει. Σήμερα στο streetstyle δεν δείχνουμε fashion victims από τις εβδομάδες μόδας, που κάνουν 3 ώρες για να ντυθούν και να στυλιζαριστούν (αυτά τα 15 λεπτά δημοσιότητας έχουν μεγάλο κόστος ρε). Σήμερα δείχνουμε everyday people. Γιατί οι everyday people σαν κι εσένα, τον Κώστα, τη Νίκη και την υπόλοιπη παρέα, πολλές φορές το κάνουν καλύτερα από το υπερ-μοδάτο πρότυπο που επαναλαμβάνεται και έχει αρχίσει και κουράζει.
