Ladies are dreaming of shoes : Dukas collection F/W 2014 -2015

Ο σχεδιαστής υποδημάτων Δούκας Χατζηδούκας γεννήθηκε στη Θεσσαλονίκη τον Σεπτέμβριο του 1975. Σπούδασε στο American College of Greece Deree Ιστορία της Τέχνης και αγάπησε με πάθος τη μόδα. Το 2003 δημιουργεί την πρώτη του συλλογή με υποδήματα και αξεσουάρ prêt-a-porter με έντονα, όμως, στοιχεία Haute Couture. Χαρακτηρίστηκαν αμέσως luxury items και σημείωσαν μεγάλη επιτυχία τόσο στην Ελλάδα όσο και στο εξωτερικό. Την ίδια χρονιά δέχεται πρόσκληση από το Camera Nazionale Della Moda Italiana και συμμετέχει στην Alta Moda (εβδομάδα υψηλής ραπτικής της Ιταλίας), όπου και λαμβάνει διθυραμβικές κριτικές από τον ελληνικό και διεθνή Τύπο. 

Συνεχίζει τη διεθνή καριέρα του παρουσιάζοντας τις συλλογές του στο Μιλάνο ενώ ξεκινάει η εξαγωγή του brand «Dukas» σε Ευρώπη, Αμερική και Ασία. Συνεργάζεται με τη Swarovski Hellas και με αφορμή τους Ολυμπιακούς αγώνες της Αθήνας δημιουργεί ένα haute couture σανδάλι από δέρμα, πλέξιγκλας και κρύσταλλα Swarovski απεικονίζοντας το κλασικό ελληνικό μοτίβο του μαιάνδρου.Από το 2005 σχεδιάζει το ροζ βραχιολάκι της Estee Lauder Hellas για την υποστήριξη των γυναικών με καρκίνο του μαστού συνεισφέροντας στο μεγάλο αυτό φιλανθρωπικό έργο. Η Dukas collection φέρει την υπογραφή Exclusively made in Hellas σε όλα τα προϊόντα.

ENG : Dukas (Dukas Chatzidoukas) is a famous Greek shoe designer. He was born in Thessaloniki on 11th September 1975. He graduated from the American College of Greece, acquiring a Master’s degree in History of Art. 2003 was a very important year for the designer’s career as he created his first Shoes & Accessories collection, which contained Prêt-à-Porter products with vivid Haute Couture elements. They were instantly characterised as luxury items and became extremely successful, as they were adored not only in Greece but also in Europe and America. In March 2008 Dukas participate in “Paris Fashion Week”; the designer presented Dukas a/w ’08 ’09 Collection at multi brand showrooms continuing that way his international career, making Dukas brand more popular all around the world, as well. 

In 2011, Dukas signature ’Silhouettes’ drew international attention as a “Novità” to the world of the shoes. A 3-Dimensional woman silhouette’ transformed into an 130mm elegant,edgy and sculptured heel. In 2012 he presented his collection outside Greece taking the first steps for his international career. L’Eclaireur boutiques in Paris, LuisaViaRoma in Florence, TheBOXBoutique in London, Vierre in Milan and many more became DUKAS International selling points. In the meantime famous stars like Lady Gaga, Madonna and Lana DelRay requested the shoes for their performances and photo shootings. ln 2013, Dukas translated the ultimate accessory culprit for the female beauty into a heel fetish. The ‘Eve Heels’ are dedicated to Evelyn H. Lauder, the woman who was an inspiration and role model to him.
